CHALLENGE

In 2021, BulMag approached Outcon seeking support for their online store. Their existing platform was outdated, difficult to maintain, and heavily customized in a way that made updates nearly impossible. This led to multiple challenges:

  • Limited scalability: Adding new features was cumbersome and time-consuming.
  • High maintenance costs: Required excessive development hours for even minor updates.
  • Performance issues: The site was slow, leading to inefficiencies in order processing and customer interactions.
  • Integration limitations: The client planned to implement an ERP system based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 NVision and needed seamless integration with their eCommerce platform.

SOLUTION

After evaluating the limitations of the existing platform, Outcon worked closely with BulMag to explore various options. Together, we concluded that a complete rewrite of the online store was the best approach. The new solution was built using Laravel for the backend and Vue.js (Nuxt framework) for the frontend, ensuring:

  • Modern, scalable architecture capable of handling future growth.
  • Seamless ERP integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 NVision.
  • Improved performance and usability for both customers and administrators.
  • Easier maintenance and updates without technical constraints.

Additionally, Outcon developed two mobile applications to enhance operations:

  1. Customer Mobile App – A shopping app allowing customers to:
    • Order products for delivery.
    • Store a digital loyalty card.
    • Track promotions and discounts.
  2. Internal Delivery App – Designed for the logistics and delivery team, enabling drivers to:
    • Collect and transport products from stores.
    • Navigate to customer addresses efficiently.
    • Manage payments and cancellations directly from the app.

IMPACT

BulMag’s partnership with Outcon has resulted in a fully modernized eCommerce ecosystem, significantly improving their digital operations and customer experience.
